Το Μουσείο ιδρύθηκε το έτος 1977 και στεγάζεται στην κατοικία του μεγάλου ζωγράφου της νεοελληνικής ζωγραφικής Γεώργιου Γουναρόπουλου, (1890-1977) στου Ζωγράφου.
Στο Μουσείο εκτείθενται 32 έργα του ζωγράφου, ελαιογραφίες και 14 κραγιόνια μαύρα και χρωματιστά, 5 μελέτες του και επίσης προσωπικά του αντικείμενα.

Gounaropoulo’s Museum
The Museum was founded in 1977 and is housed in the home of the famous Greek painter George Gounaropoulos (1890-1977), in the Zografou area of Athens.
Ιn the Museum are exhibited thirtytwo of the artist’s works, oil paintings and 14 drawings in black and coloured crayons, five studies and also items which had belonged to him.
