The sanctuary dedicated to Egyptian deities is unique throughout Crete, being the only one devoted to the Egyptian gods Isis, Serapis, and Hermes Anubis, although it is known that these deities were also worshipped in other cities. The sanctuary consists of a rectangular cella, a colonnaded porch on the west side, an underground crypt to the south, and a basin to the east outside the cella. The statue of Serapis was placed in the central niche, while statues of Isis and Hermes Anubis stood in the side niches. In the southern part of the sanctuary, there was a narrow, elongated space with the underground purification crypt and a small basin. The last construction phase of the sanctuary dates to the 1st/2nd century AD, as indicated by a dedicatory inscription.
