The Archaeological Museum of Karpathos is located in Pigadia, the capital of the island, and is housed in the western wing of the Eparcheion complex. The exhibition is organized into three main sections. The prehistoric section includes finds from the Neolithic, Minoan and Mycenaean periods discovered on the island. The historical section presents finds from the three ancient cities of Karpathos: Karpathos, Arkesia and Vrykous. The Byzantine section includes representative finds from the early Christian basilicas and Byzantine settlements of the island.
