The Archaeological Museum of Leros is housed in a neoclassical building dating from 1882, in Agia Marina. Its permanent exhibition presents archaeological finds from excavations and surface collections, including pottery, figurines, architectural sculptures, inscriptions, coins and fragments of wall paintings, which document the history of the island from prehistoric to Byzantine times. The museum also displays inscriptions, funerary stelae, coins, mosaics and vessels from the Classical period, as well as objects associated with the Early Christian period.
