In the two exhibition halls of the Museum, finds from archaeological sites on the island are displayed, dating from the Early Helladic period (2800–1900 BC) to the Roman period. Characteristic exhibits include a flask of Cypriot origin, an Attic Geometric pyxis with fully sculpted horse figures on its lid, and a zoomorphic rhyton (a ritual vessel) in the shape of a horse. In the courtyard, architectural elements and sculptures from various periods are exhibited, as well as sarcophagi dating from the Protogeometric and Geometric periods. The museum also houses the important Folklore Collection of L. Kostiri, dedicated in memory of her brother, the archaeologist I. Papadimitriou.
