Ερείπια κάστρου που ήταν χτισμένο στο κέντρο του οικισμού της Ψίνθου. Σώζονται ερείπια από τμήμα κτηρίου, στο ισόγειο του οποίου διακρίνονται θολωτές κατασκευές. Το κτήριο αυτό αποτελούσε μέρος μεγαλύτερου οχυρού, του οποίου οικοδομικό υλικό και ίσως και τμήμα έχουν ενσωματωθεί στον ενοριακό ναό λίγα μέτρα προς τα Β. Αν και η σημερινή κατάσταση του μνημείου και η απουσία συστηματικής έρευνας δεν επιτρέπουν συμπεράσματα, πιθανολογείται ότι ο ρόλος του κάστρου ήταν ο οικονομικός έλεγχος και η προστασία της πλούσιας αγροτικής περιοχής, από τις πιο εύφορες στο νησί.

Psinthos Castle, Rhodes Island
Ruins of a castle built in the centre of the village of Psinthos. The visible ruins of a two-storey building with ground floor vaults were part of a larger defensive complex whose building material -and possibly another part- have been incorporated into the structure of the neighbouring parish church a few yards to the north. Although the present state of the ruins and the lack of systematic research cannot allow further discussion, it is probable that the castle’s function was the protection and control of economic activity in a particularly fertile agricultural area.
