Η Αρχαιολογική Συλλογή Σαγκρίου στεγάζεται σε νεόδμητο κτήριο που εντάσσεται στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο του αρχαϊκού ναού της Δήμητρας, στον Γύρουλα Σαγκρίου, έχοντας αποσπάσει το διεθνές βραβείο Europa Nostra για τον τρόπο κατασκευής και εναρμόνισής του με το φυσικό περιβάλλον. Περιλαμβάνει ευρήματα που έφερε στο φως η αρχαιολογική σκαπάνη στον Γύρουλα και τα οποία συνδέονται με την άσκηση λατρείας στον χώρο από την αρχαϊκή εποχή έως τον 6ο αι. μ.Χ., οπότε ο ναός μετατρέπεται σε χριστιανική βασιλική.

Archaeological Site and Collection of Sangri Guroulas, Naxos
The Archaeological Collection of Sagri is housed in a recently constructed building inside the archaeological site of the archaic temple of Demeter located in Gyroulas of Sagri. Due to the remarkably harmonious construction which is seamlessly integrated into the surroundings, the Collection has been honored with the international prize ‘’Europa Nostra’’. The collection includes finds from the excavation at Gyroulas associated with the cult practices in the area. They date back to a period spanning from the Archaic Age to the 6th century AD when the temple was converted into a Christian basilica.
