The Castle of Lachania stood within the settlement of the same name. In 1475 the Hospitaller Council designed Lachania as place of refuge for the inhabitants of Tha, Dephania and Eugala in the event of Turkish raid; from 1479 it surrenders this function to Pylona. It has now completely disappeared.
